Do you or someone you know have Lupus?
We are looking for men and women ages 18 years or older that have been diagnosed with lupus to take part in an investigational study.
Is this study right for me?
This is a series of research studies evaluating an investigational medication in people with different types of lupus. The investigational medicine can be given in addition to some standard lupus treatments, and this will be discussed with you in more detail, if you prequalify.
If you are eligible and participate, all study-related care and study medication is provided at no charge. Reimbursement for transportation and other expenses such as childcare/eldercare to attend study visits is also provided.
To see if you qualify, call Neurovations at 707-252-9606 or fill out the form below and we will reach out shortly.
What is Lupus?
Lupus is an autoimmune disease, which means your immune system attacks healthy tissue in your body. Lupus can lead to pain and inflammation in any part of your body.
- Lupus commonly impacts the skin, the joints, and internal organs such as the heart and kidneys.
- Both men and women can develop lupus, but 90% of those with lupus are women.
No one is certain what causes lupus, but autoimmune diseases do run in families. Scientists believe environmental factors and certain hormones (such as estrogen) may play a role.
Why take part in the study?
If you qualify and decide to take part, you will receive:
• All study-related care and study medication at no charge
• Regular monitoring of your lupus and overall health by study staff who specialize in lupus while the research study is ongoing
• Reimbursement for transportation and other expenses such as childcare/eldercare to attend study visits, as needed
• The opportunity to contribute to learning more about lupus

Study participation and your safety
Participant safety is our number one priority during every stage of the study process. All research studies are carefully supervised, monitored, and documented. Every research study is reviewed and approved by a special group of people called an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or an Ethics Committee (EC), which is made up of scientists, nonscientist professionals, and members of the public. They make sure that participants’ rights are protected, and they seek to avoid exposure to unnecessary risks. IRBs and ECs will only approve studies that they think could help
answer important medical questions.
While the research study is ongoing, a team of study doctors and nurses at the study site will closely monitor your health. If you have questions or concerns at any point throughout the study, a study staff member is available. The study staff can also tell you about their COVID-19 safety protocols.
Your participation is voluntary, and you are free to withdraw at any time for any reason. Although others can help make up your mind, the final decision is yours to make. Your privacy will be maintained throughout the study.
